Message

I am greatly honoured to have been elected as the fourth president of the Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) for the next two-year terms (2022-2024). First of all, I would like to thank all my predecessors, members, well-wishers and donors for their continued support and contribution in helping KEN reach a milestone.

KEN is 10 years old today. It was at the 2011 PBD (Parvashi Bhartiya Divash) meeting held in New Delhi where together, we had conceived this idea of Knowledge Exchange Network between non-residents and residents of India being established, especially that of Manipur. It was then officially born in Boston, USA, at the first ever global KEN convention in 2014, with a dream of giving back and the transmission of advanced knowledge of international standards to our roots in Manipur, India. Knowledge is power– this is our core belief and the purpose of KEN’s existence.

Members of KEN are spread wide across, in different places of the world, yet our bonds remain as close as ever, we speak to each other as if we are just next door. This is how mutually interconnected we are. Our sharing of knowledge has never been disrupted even once, we all have been shoulder to shoulder and hand to hand even during world-wide disruptions, such as Covid-19 pandemic, because we all love the same thing- the land we came from. The further we live, the greater the gravity which draws us closer to our land.

Our dreams during sleep and our mind during the day never goes by without thinking about what we can do for this land, and how we can improve for the youth in this land. KEN is serious, each member of KEN is serious! Members of our organisation are hardworking and passionate individuals whose hard-earned money and knowledge, along with their precious time, are spent on building our dream-empowering the youth of the land by sharing knowledge through the Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN).

On several occasions, KEN has shared its own members’ expertise with the government of Manipur, India and the youth of the state. KEN has a vast pool of IT experts working at different positions in different parts of the world. We have supported the government of Manipur once in formulating a viable IT policy for the state. Members of KEN also have generously contributed monetary support to the people of Manipur. For example, the most recent event was in 2021, when we donated INR 300,000 to various hospitals in association with Care for Manipur as a drive to support Covid patients in the state. We have also organised many IT programmes and skill development courses. From time to time, we host webinars on various topics and issues of great importance to the youth of Manipur and India. The list is long- it contains around 10 years of activities. We never hesitate in giving to our land –Manipur, India and we never will!

We in KEN, whether a citizen of the UK, USA, Ireland, Japan , Canada, Australia , India or any other citizen of the world, believe in persistence and perseverance within any endeavour we carry out for the youth or the people of the country.

Let history be the final judge of our deeds, and with a clear conscience of care and generosity, let us go forth with the nurturing and contributions to the land that we love.
