Prof. Y. Jayanta Singh (Ph.D.Computer Science) was born and brought up in Khekman [Thoubal], Manipur. He received Master & PhD in Computer Science, Dr B.A.Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. He is working as Director of NIELIT Assam and Meghalaya: National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), [Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India].
He has worked with other International firms such Swinburn University of Technology (Malaysia), Misurata University (North Africa), Skyline University (Dubai), also with industries – Keane Inc (India & Canada), TechMahindra(India) etc. He is member of IEEE, ACM, IETE, IAENG, ASTED, IJET, EUROSIS etc.
